Search Terms & Conditions

Each search tier covers different sources and carries its own terms. Please read the terms for the tier you're running — you'll confirm you've read and agree to them before the search runs.

Basic Search

$2 first search · then $5 (10 for $35)  ·  sample report

An automated, AI-generated clearance check of the federal register and sound-alikes.

What's included

  • Automated search of the USPTO federal trademark register for identical and closely similar marks
  • Phonetic / sound-alike variants of your name
  • Meaning- and connotation-based similar terms
  • A plain-language strength read of your name

What's not included

  • State trademark registers and state business-name records
  • Common-law / unregistered uses and web results
  • Domain / URL availability
  • Design or logo image search
  • A written legal opinion or attorney analysis
  • Foreign or international marks

Terms you're agreeing to

  • This search is generated by automated software and artificial intelligence and is provided for informational purposes only.
  • It is not legal advice, is not a legal opinion, and does not create an attorney–client relationship.
  • AI results may be incomplete or contain errors — the tool can miss real conflicts or flag false ones.
  • A clean result does not mean the name is available. The USPTO can still refuse registration for many reasons (likelihood of confusion, descriptiveness, and others), and third parties may hold rights the search doesn't reveal. Clearance is never guaranteed.
No refunds — once the search is run it is non-refundable, including any search credit used.

Expert Search

$20 · per search  ·  sample report

Everything in Basic, widened by a web search for real-world use of the name.

What's included

  • Everything in the Basic Search
  • A web search for unregistered ("common-law") use — companies already trading under the name
  • State business / company-name registration records that are searchable*
  • Domain availability for the exact name across 10 popular endings (.com, .net, .org, .co, .io, .ai, .app, .dev, .shop, .us), checked against the domain registries at search time

What's not included

  • State trademark registers — we search the federal register only
  • A written attorney opinion, risk analysis, or any attorney review
  • TTAB, opposition, or litigation analysis
  • Design / logo image search
  • Foreign or international marks

Terms you're agreeing to

  • This is an automated, AI-assisted search for informational purposes only. No attorney reviews it.
  • It is not legal advice, is not a legal opinion, and does not create an attorney–client relationship.
  • The web-research step reports what it finds online. Those findings are not verified against any official register, may be incomplete or out of date, and the absence of a finding is not evidence that no one is using the name.
  • *Most states’ business records are searchable on the public web, but not all states’ records are — this is web research, not a query of any state’s official database.
  • The USPTO can still refuse registration for many reasons and third parties may hold rights not shown. Clearance is never guaranteed.
No refunds — once the search is run it is non-refundable.

Attorney Review

$199 · attorney-reviewed

Everything in the Expert Search, then reviewed by a licensed attorney who adds their written notes.

What's included

  • Everything in the Expert Search
  • Logo / design-mark clearance, read by its design elements
  • Review and a written risk analysis by a licensed attorney

What's not included

  • Filing a trademark application (a separate service)
  • Ongoing representation or deadline monitoring
  • State trademark registers — the register we search is the federal one
  • Any guarantee that a mark will register
  • TTAB, opposition, cancellation, or litigation
  • Foreign / international clearance

Terms you're agreeing to

  • This is a limited-scope search-and-review service (CRPC 1.2). It covers only the clearance search and the attorney's review and notes described above — it does not include filing an application or any ongoing representation.
  • The attorney's review and notes reflect the attorney's professional judgment on the information reviewed; they are not a guarantee of any outcome.
  • Even a favorable analysis does not guarantee registration. The USPTO exercises independent discretion and may refuse a mark for many reasons, and rights can exist that no search reveals.
No refunds — once the attorney has begun or delivered your Expert search, the fee is non-refundable.
A search is not a filing, and clearance is never a guarantee. Trademark availability depends on many factors — including marks that are similar but not identical, similar goods or services, common-law rights, state trademark registrations, and the examining attorney's judgment. No search of any kind can guarantee that a mark will be approved or that using it is free of risk. For a decision that matters, consider the attorney-reviewed search or a full legal opinion.

Deadline Monitoring

$6 / month · $60 / year

Draft — attorney review required before launch.

Listing the marks you own is free. The subscription buys the computed statutory deadlines on those marks and an automated watch: an automated USPTO watch — not a full watch service.

What it does

  • Computes the statutory maintenance deadlines (§8, §9, SOU windows and similar) from your mark's public USPTO record, and shows them with a countdown
  • Compares newly published USPTO marks against your docketed marks weekly
  • Flags similar marks in overlapping classes so you have time to consider opposition
  • Emails you what it found, with the publication date and the opposition window

What it does not do

  • Search state trademark registers
  • Monitor common-law or unregistered use, trade press, domains or marketplaces
  • Monitor foreign filings, including those claiming US priority
  • Involve a human reviewing every result before it reaches you
  • File anything for you, or extend any deadline — the dates and duties remain yours

If your mark is commercially important, use a professional watch service (Corsearch, CompuMark and similar) in addition to this. Ours is an automated first alert, not a substitute for comprehensive watching, and no attorney–client relationship is formed by subscribing. Cancel any time; monitoring runs to the end of the paid period.
